A college chemistry classmate. I was perhaps going to be a chemical engineer, but the human aspect of nutrition fascinated me.

Describe a typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
My days are focused on growth, clients success, and operations for my program Get Paid to Get Published. I help food & nutrition experts get paid to write cookbooks. I also am a dedicated home cook, writer, and author of 4 cookbooks, so the next book is always on my mind.

How did you get your current job in dietetics?
I started my own business in 1996. I've been employed by The Green Apron Co ever since!

What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I'd say I'm an optimistic, natural-born leader. Along the way I've learned about book publishing, editing, recipe writing, and most recently learned about marketing and sales online.

What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
To develop a practice for your work. To set your own schedule, create your own rules, and know that the primitive part of our brain always says NOPE and that this NOPE is the brain's job, but it doesn't need to be listened too.

If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Vouchers to travel by train or via air, or with Rick Steves.

Thank you, Maggie!
