What's in the Dietitian Jobs Career Planner for 2023

This 24-page planner for 2023 includes your

  • Annual goals and actions
  • Quarterly goals
  • Monthly goals and actions
  • Weekly goals
  • Daily planning
  • Hourly planning
  • Success Story Circle Planner Template
  • Work Journal Template to help you keep track of your work successes and challenges you overcame to drop into your resume; this comes in especially helpful when job interviewing and when salary negotiating
  • Habit Tracker Logs
  • Clarity Log

The detailed planning is where it all happens. I have found it especially helpful for my dietitian clients when I'm coaching them on mapping out their career planning to include daily goals. A lot of the action happens here.

I've broken goals down as tasks and further down into time chunks to help better manage your time and expectations. It's good to see where you spend (or don't spend!) your time.

It's the small habits and rituals that build to big progress. Thinking this way also helps with anxiety and feeling out of control when looking at such a big "project" as your dietetic career.

Weekly Dietitian Job Search Planning

I also think it's important to map out your plan for the day fo the week for consistency and momentum. Tasks like networking and calling old co-workers can be overwhelming for some (most?!) so you want to make sure you can also spend your job search time on other projects, like making connections on LinkedIn. Here's the weekly dietetic job search agenda in the planner:

MONDAYS

Target = Search + Apply

Research and search for jobs on NutritionJobs, company job boards, job sites, LinkedIn, Dietetic Practice Groups, UpWork, and more.

TUESDAYS

Target = Professional Profile

Optimize resume, LinkedIn profile, practice job interview answers, explore career clarity.

WEDNESDAYS

Target = Network

Connect with network on LinkedIn, companies, colleagues, dietetic associations, and other places.

THURSDAYS

Target = Search + Apply

Search and apply to jobs, call companies, schedule informational interviews, follow up with job applications that you sent earlier in the week or last week.

FRIDAYS

Target = Improve

Read, listen, research to learn new skills, stay up to date, or expand on existing skills; Summarize wins for the week.

SATURDAYS

Target = Recalibrate

Just self care and taking care of your relationships. Clear your mind and thoughts so you can start fresh again Sunday evening. It's like the rest between reps of sit ups! It actually makes you stronger for the next rep.

How do you take care of yourself to recalibrate?

SUNDAY Evenings or Afternoons

Target = Plan

Start mapping plan for Monday and the week ahead. It helps you feel ahead of the game so you have less anxiety about your next steps.

Get your downloads ready to go for the upcoming week. Feel regenerated and renewed. You can celebrate all your wins, big or little, on Friday.

I'm rooting for you.

Work Habits

Goals are important when trying to progress in your career or entrepreneur ventures. But really it's the habits along that way that make the plan to reach the goal. Sometimes your efforts towards your goals are one and done. But often it's the daily or weekly habits that inch you towards the ultimate goal.

I'm a huge fan of habits and habit tracking to keep me on track to get my goals accomplished. Big and little goals. I also like to study the habits of successful people. Here are common habits

Common Habits of Successful People

1. Read Books

2. Wake Early

3. Ask Questions

4. Have a Set Routine

5. Manage Time

6. Exercise and Meditate

7. Network or Connect

8. Learn and Stay Curious
