About the Role
Reporting to the Dietetics Assistant Director, you will:

· Conduct Comprehensive Nutrition Assessments
- Perform assessments using the Nutrition Care Process
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate individualized nutrition plans
- Identify high-risk patients and implement intensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
- Maintain accurate and current patient profiles

· Collaborate & Implement Care Plans
- Work alongside interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Communicate individualized meal plans to Nutrition Services staff
- Provide consultation to unit staff and patients
- Participate in departmental meetings and hospital committees

- Maintain compliance with safety, security, infection control, and emergency response standards

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, candidates must meet one of the following:
- BE LIST ELIGIBLE: Successfully complete the competitive State civil service exam pertaining to this classification at Registered Dietitian (Safety) Exam Bulletin, OR
- BE TRANSFER ELIGIBLE: MUST meet the minimum qualifications of the classification per DPA Rule 250, have current employment with the State of California in the same classification with permanent or probationary status or in a classification that is substantially the same with permanent or probationary status, OR
- BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE: Have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable.
