FNCE 2016

My favorite event of the year is FNCE! It is so special to me to meet my existing customers, embrace old colleagues and spread the word about NutritionJobs to new professionals.  For most of us, making the trip is not easy but well worth the effort. It’s a lot of work preparing my family for my trip and getting my booth set up and running. FNCE is truly the most inspirational few days. So once again, FNCE was a major success.

Now that FNCE is over and people are home, the Networking doesn’t stop there. Make sure to follow up with the people you met. Reach out now or even next week – it’s not too late. Establishing true connections is what matters the most when it comes to Networking.

And to be honest, I don’t love the idea of networking, so actively making plans to attend events or staying in touch after events is stressful. But EVERY single event I attend I end up having a blast or meeting someone who will play a significant role in my life!  And I learn so much from so many people.

For example, Sarah and I connected at a networking event and we kept in touch (thanks to Sarah’s initiative!). Months later, I needed someone to help write the articles and she was on my mind. The rest is history.  Networking is marketing! And that’s how you get jobs.

Enjoy the people you meet. This newsletter is dedicated to staying connected post-networking event.
