What attracted you to the field of nutrition and dietetics?

I was drawn to this field when my father reversed his pre-diabetes diagnosis. I think it was then that I really understood the power of food as medicine. I also have PCOS, and was interested in the connection between diet and managing my really frustrating symptoms.

A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?

No day is typical for me, and that's what keeps it exciting for me! I'll work inside my online program communities answering questions for members, film and/or create social media content, contribute to a podcast, or review a DUTCH Complete Hormone test for an upcoming client consultation.

How did you get your current job in dietetics?

I started my own business at the beginning of 2019

What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?

"I quickly learned that in order to work for myself, I had to ""market"" or ""sell"" myself. This was extremely uncomfortable in the beginning, but I have definitely honed that skill and feel really confident in my abilities as a business woman. I think I was born with an ability to connect with and empower women, which has served me well in the expansion of my business. "

What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?

Be authentic- in the digital world we live in, it can be really hard to stay connected to your audience and to show up as human. I always recommend just simply showing up as YOU inside the community you want to build because others will always be attracted to that. Even if that means being imperfect and messy, that can actually resonate with the clients you want to reach.

If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
