Sports nutrition, initially, then corporate wellness and helping adults build and practice healthy habits in the workplace.

Describe a typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
I work in a corporate health and wellness center. In an 8 hour day, I teach 2-3 fitness classes, 30-60 minutes each; meet with 1-on-1 clients, 30-60 minute sessions; meet with my Coaches, 30-60 minutes; attend meetings, 60-120 minutes; administrative work, 120-240 minutes (staffing, approvals, interviewing, back end work).
How did you get your current job in dietetics?
I began as the Lead Dietitian for the Verizon Health & Wellness Organization.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I was born with empathy and enthusiasm for health and wellness. I gained skills in organization, clear communication, and delegation (still learning).
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
Say YES to as many exploratory possibilities and opportunities as you can. Ask questions, observe people you admire, and ask to shadow or volunteer to help however you can.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what
would it be?
Travel time -- experience "vouchers."
