Networking at FNCE

Networking at FNCE

Are you attending the 2019 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo™ (FNCE®) in Philadelphia this coming weekend? If so, I can't wait to connect with you in person, either at my booth #1510, at the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Networking Event, at the Diversity Dietetics Event, or at the Student Lounge providing free Resume Reviews! It's going to be amazing. Please say hello. It really is so fun for me to meet our clients and readers in person.

October is always a busy business month for me. And this year was no different! I held a webinar, Networking and Resume Guide, for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics together with Maree Ferguson of Dietitian Connection, with Sarah Koszyk moderating us.

And we hosted a Pre-FNCE Networking Program in San Francisco! Get a download of the presentation here.

Here are 5 of my favorite Conference Networking Expert Tips:

  1. Update your Resume Profile before you go.
  2. Consider networking and meeting people at events, such a Dietetic Practice Group events, rather than just sessions.
  3. Make a Master Schedule. Time is tight and you don't want to miss anything because of haphazard planning.
  4. When networking, consider your offer rather than what someone can do for you. Think of networking as a long-lasting exchange to build up and promote each other.
  5. In addition to your Master Schedule, use the NutritionJobs Master Meeter Worksheet, with a list who you want to connect with, your pre-FNCE communication, what you hope to exchange, and your post-FNCE follow up.
