What attracted you to the field of nutrition and dietetics? I was always fascinated with food and its interaction in the body. I wanted to work with people to provide practical advice about nutrition and diet to help people make good decisions about their nutritional health.
Your Job Title: Senior Manager, Global Nutrition Science
Company you are with now: Pfizer Consumer Healthcare

A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you: I work daily on global formulations for multivitamins and the scientific claims behind the formulations to provide consumers a practical way to help fill in their dietary gaps when they are not meeting their needs through diet alone.
How did you get your current job in dietetics? When I first began my career in the hospital, I knew that I wanted to be a registered dietitian who works in healthcare in a corporate setting. I thought it would be an excellent opportunity as a RDN to utilize my skills and knowledge to make a broader contribution with a global healthcare company, and learn more about people and nutrition from a global perspective.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way? Compassion has always been a central part of my personality, this has helped me to encourage people in leading healthy lifestyles. Information along with encouragement we can motivate people to make better choices.
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you? My recommendation would be to establish your goals, create a professional plan, and remember to keep at things and never lose sight of your dreams. In today’s world, circumstances can change and with that, the opportunities will find. Therefore you need to have patience and avoid losing sight of what you wish to achieve in your career.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be? Knowing that I have other people’s trust is worth a million dollars! The fact that people place their confidence into me to provide nutritional health guidance to improve their wellness means the world to me!
