CEDA WIC is seeking full time Nutritionists to provide individual assessment and counseling support for breastfeeding, pregnant and post partum women, infants and children to age 5. Duties also include individual and group education, and responsibility for daily clinic functions. Breastfeeding support and advocacy a must.
Des Plaines clinic: primarily at Des Plaines but may float to any of the following: Mount Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Morton Grove, and Evanston: Tuesday-Saturday (some Mondays). Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Chicago/north floating position to any of the following clinics: Evanston, Morton Grove, Skokie, and north side of Chicago: Monday-Friday (some Saturdays): Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Chicago/west floating position to any of the following clinics: Diversey, Albany Park, Irving Park, Howard, Austin: Monday-Friday (some Saturdays): Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Austin clinic (west side of Chicago): Monday-Friday (some Saturdays): Hours 8:00 am- 4:30 pm.
Diversey clinic (northwest side of Chicago): primarily at Diversey but may float to any of the following: Albany Park, Irving Park, Austin, Oak Park: Tuesday-Saturday (some Mondays). Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Albany Park clinic: schedule may vary Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday: Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
All floating positions require reliable automobile, valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
Degree REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred. Illinois LDN required if RDN. Proof of BS in dietetics degree, OR proof of completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), OR CDR card, OR RDN license REQUIRED submission before interview.
WIC experience helpful. Ability to work independently and as a team player. Ability to work with clients from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Possession of a positive attitude and interest in helping others. Must possess positive attitude toward breastfeeding. Full benefit package. Salary range $34,000 (non RDN) to $40,000 (RDN,LDN). EOE
