Job Description and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Bachelorâs degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required. Spanish speaking preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) months professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should attend on going courses or seminars designed to maintain and update skills with current practice will be required to maintain license (CEU's). CSR (Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition) preferred.
Reporting to the Director of Renal Services and under the clinical supervision of the VP of Patient Care Services/CNO and the Clinical Dietitian Manager, the Renal Clinical Dietitian establishes guidelines for nutrition assessment, progress notes, patient/family education, short-term care plans, long-term care plans for all patients being dialyzed on an outpatient basis, and support to all members of the multidisciplinary staff in regards to the nutritional care of the Chronic Renal Failure patient.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours.
