Job Description and Requirements
Riverside Health & Rehab a 180 bed skilled nursing facility in Danville, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian.
*ensuring patients receive adequate nutrition and that dietary services are provided to meet the needs of the patients and regulatory requirements
*conducts nutritional assessments, nutrition education and in-service education to meet the needs of patients, family members, and staff
*documents all patient nutrition related information in the medical record according to established standards, such as supporting documentation and nutrition related components of the RAI/MDS and care planning processes
*makes recommendations to dietary, nursing and physicians as necessary
*interacts and participates with other disciplines by actively participating in the care plan process, weight variance committee, and wound care teams.
The successful candidate must be qualified through education and experience, with administrative and clinical skills, and strong communication skills.; prefer RD with experience in a short term rehab and long term care setting.
Experience and/or Pre-requisites:
Licensed by the state dietetic licensing board as applicable by state.
Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or Registration-eligible.
