The Department of Kinesiology at North Central College seeks applications for a part-time instructor to teach the following course:
KIN 354 Applied Nutrition & Body Weight Management
Winter 2018 (1/3/18 to 3/14/18) MWF 9:20am-10:30am or 12:00pm-1:10pm
Individuals who are prescribing fitness programming must understand the concepts associated with managing a healthy weight. This course explores the effects of body composition and nutrition on aspects of health, performance, and injury prevention. Tools for assessment of body composition and methods of programming for gaining lean body mass or losing body fat are discussed.
A degree in Exercise Science/Physiology, Dietetics/Nutrition or a related area is preferred, a Masters degree is required, terminal degree preferred. Applicants should also demonstrate evidence of successful college teaching through student learning focused pedagogy and the use of varied assessment techniques that align with course learning outcomes.
