Job Description and Requirements

Robeson County Health Department Nutrition Division has an opening for a full time Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist III - WIC Coordinator position. The primary purpose of position is to coordinate and facilitate activities within the WIC Program, to supervise staff, provide technical assistance and leadership to WIC Program staff, and to provide high risk nutrition services to WIC Program participants.
Other duties include, but are not limited to: Assessing nutritional status of patients and developing nutrition care plans, implementing the WIC Nutrition Education Program with other on-going nutrition education programs in the health agency and community, and working on special interest projects to promote better nutritional status of Robesonians.

Typical hours are: Monday - Friday 8:00 5:00

Minimum Education and Experience: Graduation from a four year college or university with a bachelors' degree in foods and nutrition, public health nutrition or dietetics, and two years of nutrition- related work experience, plus Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility; or a masters' degree in nutrition or public health nutrition and one year nutrition experience, plus Commission on Dietetic Registration eligibility.

Spanish language skills desired but not required.
