ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW FOR NEW POSITION IN DECEMBER, 2017
Entry-level nutritionist position in a busy WIC clinic in a small
county health department in southeastern NC. We are located less than an hour from both NC & SC coasts and resort areas. Position entails interviewing and assessing nutritional status of pregnant and post-partum women, infants and children, providing appropriate education, certifying them for WIC benefits, documenting in their electronic medical records. Minimum education requirements include: graduate of a ACEND-approved program in dietetics; or a DTR with a BS/BA in any subject area from an accredited 4-yr institution; or a BS/BA degree in dietetics, public health nutrition or community nutrition from an accredited 4-yr institution. Salary commensurate with experience, excellent benfits package, and potential for advancement.
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
This position is an excellent opportunity to work with experienced nutritionists and other health professionals. You will gain hands-on experience working directly with a wide variety of clients, to learn public policy, and to become skilled with a state-of-the-art electronic health record.
