Employee Wellness Registered Dietitian
Job Description and Requirements
A national employer is offering an innovative weight-loss program to its employees, delivered via telemedicine. Employees enrolled in the program will receive a credit against their insurance premium if they complete 3 online video visits with a RD by February 28, 2017. RDs will work from home and complete 30 minute scheduled visits with the patients (the RD is responsible for uploading and maintaining his/her own schedule on the system). Payment is $25 per 30 minute appointment (payment for completed visits only).
Essential Job Functions
The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for providing nutrition education over a secure online platform to employees enrolled in a weight management program. For each visit, the RD will provide advice that is consistent with the weight management nutrition curriculum designed specifically for the program.
â¢ Bachelor or Master of Science degree in nutrition or dietetics
â¢ Completed Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Undergraduate Program from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
â¢ Documentation of current status as Registered Dietitian
â¢ Minimum 2 to 5 years of weight management counseling experience a plus
â¢ Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to counseling employees enrolled in weight management program
â¢ Laptop with camera, iOS or android phone, and home office or quiet area to provide confidential nutrition advice
