Job Description and Requirements

Healthcare Services Group is currently seeking a motivated,full-time Dietitian (RD) who is familiar with long term care Dietetics to join our team of progressive Dietitian team.

Position Description:

Provides clinical and operational support to multiple facilities, and ensures compliance with required dietary consultation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments upon admission, re-admission, when patients are at high risk, and on a QA basis.
The Dietitian must be able to provide Medical nutrition therapy, assessing the nutritional status via lab value interpretation, consumption patterns, weight maintenance, food/drug interactions, and dietary compliance.

Reviews residents with weight variance, skin issues and nutrition consults and provides recommendations to facility.

Assesses departmental function, and analyzes systems for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, to include monitoring of sanitation, dining services and food production.

Attends action plan meetings within facility if requested.

Conducts and/or participates in Regional and District meetings and committees, as directed.

Works as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Ensures patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition and Food Service Management.
Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. (RD eligible candidates will be considered).
Certification/Licensure in the state of Kansas (or ability to obtain)
Experience in long-term care with both clinical and management experience preferred
Knowledge in state and federal regulations in long-term care is preferred.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms to various levels of people.
Ability to function both independently and in groups.
Ability to prepare accurate and timely reports.
Computer skills are important as part of daily documentation and reporting.

Current position needed: Coverage of 5-6 facilities in and around the Wichita area. Full time position, auto allowance provided in addition to salary.
