We are seeking a Registered Dietician to manage our Resident Services Department in the Skilled Nursing Facility.
To direct, supervise, and coordinate meal services for our residents of the Health Center. This position maintains high-level of individual service and attention to specific resident dietary needs and preferences. This includes medical nutritional therapy and establishing result-oriented measures in nutritional care for residents. The Nutritional Services Manager will attend patient care conferences, complete nutritional assessments, charting and care plans. Assists with and monitors compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Assures that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Independent Judgement: This position requires decision-making involvement in the analysis of what actions should be adhered towards.
Relations with Others: This position requires regular interaction with staff, residents, trustees, families, volunteers and constituent groups of our organization. Must possess a positive attitude.
Organizes, directs, and supervises all dietary personnel and functions in: scheduling hours, assigning duties.
Reviews patient/resident medical charts to identify problems related to resident's nutrition. Conduct nutritional assessments and interview resident checking for food allergies, food and drug interactions, weight loss/gain patterns, personal food preferences, etc. for proper interventions.
Plans and administers in-service training for diet aides and staff.
Plans and administers Quality Assurance program for health center food service.
Works directly with Dining Services Director in monitoring labor costs to coincide with annual labor budget.
Conducts food safety and sanitation inspections. Assures that food services practices and procedures are meeting all standard guidelines specified in the Health Care Food Services Manual by federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines.
Coordinates preparation and delivery of health care meals with Chef and Dining Services Director.
Maintains all patient records in Dietary Software pertaining to food preferences, diagnosis, etc.
Maintains the flow of the dining area during meal service hours.
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Home Economics
Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
2 years experience in a supervisory role in a dietary or related department
