Job Description and Requirements

Conduct computerized recipe nutrition analysis for the restaurant industry. Verify the thoroughness and accuracy of recipes and analysis, and communicate via phone and e-mail with restaurant personnel nationwide. This position requires considerable concentration and creativity. Position is in San Diego.

- Contact enrolled restaurants regarding recipes for analysis
- Verify accuracy of recipe ingredients and cooking methods
- Complete recipe nutrition analysis using ESHA Genesis R&D
- Format recipe verification reports
- Verify accuracy of analysis with Quality Assurance Department
- Secure recipe verification forms
- Communicate with chefs/managers/owners

- Certified by the American Dietetic Association/CDR
- BA/BS in food science, nutrition, dietetics or other related field
- 2 college level courses in food science, food chemistry or related area
- 2+ years using nutrition analysis software, preferably ESHA Food Processor or Genesis R&D
- Experience or knowledge of the restaurant industry
- Experience with cooking techniques, processes and recipe development
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of nutrition labeling regulations (NLEA)
- Strong organizational and communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to effectively prioritize and complete work assignments
- Self-starter, results oriented, hard worker (driven), high-energy team player
- Ability to independently take ownership of projects and issues and seek resolution
