Clinical Dietitian Specialist I- The Clinical Dietitian Specialist I works with the health care team and provides medical nutrition therapy both in the inpatient and outpatient settings; assesses patients' nutrition risk, nutritional needs, and recommends appropriate nutrition intervention; provides nutrition education to patient and their families and documents patients progress in the medical record; works with Nutrition Services department to ensure patients are receiving appropriate foods for the diet order; and precepts and coordinates learning experiences for dietetic interns.
Clinical Dietitian Specialist I - Credentialed as Registered Dietitian by CDR required; Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Maryland required
Clinical Dietitian Specialist II - Credentialed as Registered Dietitian by CDR required; Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Maryland required; Active specialty certification required
Clinical Dietitian Specialist III - Credentialed as Registered Dietitian by CDR required; Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Maryland required; Active specialty certification required
Advanced Practice Dietitian - Credentialed as Registered Dietitian by CDR required; Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Maryland required; Active specialty certification required
Clinical Dietitian Specialist I - Bachelor's degree required, 2 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in a specialty area
Clinical Dietitian Specialist II - Bachelor's degree required; Active specialty certification may be substituted by a Master's degree in a related field, 4 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in a specialty area
Clinical Dietitian Specialist III -Masters degree in nutrition or related field or an additional 4 years of experience required, 6 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least 3 years in critical care or specialty area (10 years without advanced degree).
Advanced Practice Dietitian - Masters degree in nutrition or related field, 10 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least 5 years in critical care or specialty area
