Lake Regional Health System located in beautiful Lake of the Ozarks has an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Dietitian Manager to join our team in Osage Beach, Missouri.
As a Clinical Dietitian Manager you will plan, coordinate and manage all patient/resident nutrition care activities complying with the standards established by regulatory agencies. Through your experience and expertise, you will develop and implement cost effective, profit-generating nutrition programs, function as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans, and establish and maintain policies, standards and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients/residents. This includes coordinating and directing all clinical activities and determining and implementing appropriate staffing levels. In your day to day activities you will acts as a team lead for the clinical dietitians, serving as a liaison between nursing, other allied health professionals, food service. Report clinical related issues to the clinical dietitians and is responsible for initiating group problem solving to resolve issues. The Clinical Dietitian Manager represents the key contact with guests to asses nutritional and dietary needs, make recommendations, and work collaboratively with nursing/medical staff and with the Director of Nutrition Services. Ensures the nutritional requirements are incorporated into dining services production and operations.
â¢ Maintains policies, standards and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients/residents. This includes coordinating and implementing appropriate staffing levels.
â¢ Develops goals and objectives for Clinical Nutrition to maintain high quality care.
â¢ Develops, implements and documents in-service education programs for Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Interns and other nutrition personnel to provide continuing education and training.
â¢ Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care.
â¢ Utilizes equipment, resources and programs to provide efficient and high quality care.
â¢ Oversee inpatient clinical dietitians and outpatient dietitians.
â¢ Assists in the performance planning process for Dietitians and Dietetic Interns.
â¢ Participate in menu planning and nutritional analysis for patient and retail services.
â¢ Participate in implementation and running of room service.
â¢ Maintains establishes systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.
â¢ Conduct monthly productivity reports on dietitian productivity, meal rounds, test trays, and RD FTE justification.
â¢ Maintains compliance with standards of operation, Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with, government and accrediting agency standards, regulations and codes.
â¢ Drives patient satisfaction and maintains relationships through rounding, test trays, and tray delivery times. Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
â¢ Update and revise all policies and procedures for Nutrition Services Department as required.
â¢ Conduct yearly evolutions on all staff overseen
â¢ Assist with hiring, coaching, performance management and reviews.
â¢ Assist with scheduling, shift coverage's, and day to day operations
â¢ Maintains registration status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensure through the state board.
â¢ Maintains professional continuing education annually.
â¢ Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines.
â¢ Bachelor's degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university, in dietetics, food science, nutrition, institutional management, business or relevant to function.
â¢ Registered Dietitian with Licensed Dietitian status
â¢ Experience as a Clinical Dietitian, plus management experience
â¢ Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office), including dietary management computer applications (CBORD) and computerized charting applications.
â¢ Skill in planning, organizing and delegating functional activities.
â¢ Skill in coaching, counseling and developing the supervisory skill of others.
â¢ Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client and information.
