Job Description and Requirements

As a Life Plan Community, Trinity Terrace offers on-site healthcare services (including Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Memory Care) in addition to its independent living residences.
We are currently seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), who is also licensed as a Registered Dietitian, to join and serve in a leadership role within our Dining Services department. The CDM will be highly involved with maintaining dietary staffing levels, including hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary action, scheduling, and dietary in-services and training sessions (with assistance from the Director of Dining Services and Health Services Administrator). This person overseas all aspects of Nutritional Services, including the supervision of Dietary Aides, dietary systems, state-mandated clinical needs, and the daily operations of all health center dining venues. Works with the Executive Chef in menu preparations as required by the State for Health Services.
This position requires advanced knowledge within the dietary field, including:
-Dietary experience in a long term care community; a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership is strongly preferred
-Experience in a leadership roleÃ¢training and directing employees, and has the ability to train employees in quantity and quality preparation of foods.
-Must possess an ability to judge aesthetics of foods served, and appreciates the necessary care and use of equipment used in food preparation.
-Understands the importance of serving diets as prescribed, the legality for serving nutritionally adequate meals, and is able to work within budgeted limitations as specified by the community.
-Understands and follows food service safety regulations.
-Current license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Texas
-Must possess a Texas Food Handlers Card and possess or be prepared to obtain Serv-Safe certification.
