What attracted you to the field of nutrition and dietetics?
My passion in culinary and nutrition attracted me to the field of dietetics. Growing up, I enjoyed cooking and playing with ingredients to create dishes, while doing so I also discovered, I was not only keen on culinary, but conscious of nutrition as well. I was then torn between attending culinary school and or pursing dietetics, but in the end I became a Registered Dietitian, which I am content with my direction as I feel confident the chosen profession will not only broaden my verizon in the field and possibly allow me to be more marketable, but also assistance people in making healthy choices by eating good food to enhance their life and health.

Describe a typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
My job requires travel to multiple sites, therefore when I arrive at work, I check emails and voice messages to ensure, there are no issues or concerns that requires immediate attention.
In foodservice, everyday is a new day, due to that matter there are always unforeseen circumstance probing me to be prepared and positive for whatever.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I strongly feel I was born to cook and help others.
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
Be humble. Calculated risk is a must. Stay abreast on current knowledge not only in your field but other areas as well. No matter what your skills are, strive to be at least the best, or an expert. Stay positive and smileJ.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what
would it be?
Hmm, not sure I have not really thought about that yet.
