A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you:
Haha great question! No day is ever the same. A typical day consists of: reading up on health tech trends, recruiting rock star dietitians, designing our services with our incredible team, meeting with healthcare buyers, making green smoothies, interviewing customers, and meetings over cups of tea at Chicago’s 1871.
How did you get your current job in dietetics?
REAL Dietitian was my senior year business plan at University of Miami. Right after my graduation, I started REAL Dietitian at 1871, Chicago’s technology incubator.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I was born with entrepreneurial blood considering my parents started their own business and throughout my life, I’ve inherently enjoyed leadership positions ranging from being captain of teams to being student council president. Through these experiences, I learned that I like to be surrounded with like-minded motivated people and work towards a common goal. Along the way, I’ve learned an incredible amount about working with different types of personalities and understanding what motivates people.

Surround yourself with people who give you good energy.
Be confident in yourself and your career’s trajectory because no one knows your brand, product, or company more than you do! Own it!
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Unlimited jars of crunchy almond butter and free flights to wherever I wish.
