What attracted you to the field of nutrition and dietetics?
Ever since I can remember, I was cooking and baking in the kitchen with my mom, and became interested in nutrition when I gained weight as a child. I learned how to eat right and exercise to keep my weight down. As I grew up I started to see the relationship between food, feeling good, and looking good. I now understand the role nutrition plays in the prevention of the diseases that run in my family as well, such as diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s.
