RD Career Tips by Jerri Ann Lamb
Hi- Ho, Hi- Ho it's off to a Conference we goThis article is the perfect way to close out the series of networking articles I have done over the last several months. As a Registered Dietitian and a Professional Recruiter I have attended the American Dietetic Association (ADA) annual meeting for the last 15 years. Opportunities for Registered Dietitians to network do not get any bigger or better than FNCE. Although this is the "Disney" of opportunity for Registered Dietitians to network it is not the time to stray from professionalism. That's also true of other professional conferences. Have fun but remain professional. Whether you are attending the ADA conference or an upcoming state or local conference, everyone you meet could potentially make a difference in your career some day. There are some things you cannot leave home without:
1. Have your resume and/or business card available all week. Do not miss the opportunity to make yourself known and available to other professionals.
