Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Seattle, WA 1700 Westlake Ave N Suite 650
Status: FTE .5, Hourly with the possibility of moving
into full time
Reports to: Director of Nutrition Services

Schedule:
Part-time, some evening times required.
Schedule to accommodate Intensive Program obligations and meetings.

Position Summary:
The dietitian is responsible for providing direct client service, including assessing the nutritional status of clients, providing nutritional counseling and education and assisting with meal planning. The dietitian works with a multidisciplinary team and in collaboration with other RDs in providing comprehensive treatment for clients.

Other duties may include:
Weekly nutrition groups
Ongoing individual nutrition counseling and education
Menu planning and minor food preparation
Therapeutic meal supervision for intensive programs
Modeling of natural eating habits
Case consultation and team meetings
Maintaining meal/food budget goals and quality of food presentation

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in food and nutrition.
Current certification/registration in the state of Washington or RD eligible with potential of being certified/registered by September 2012.
Related clinical experience/education in the assigned program(s) of care including individual counseling skills.
Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.
