Job Description and Requirements
Alameda County WIC Program seeks a Nutritionist for the Hayward and Fremont offices. This position is a civil service position, with excellent pay, benefits, training and opportunities for advancement. Duties include providing nutrition counseling and breastfeeding support, teaching classes, supporting site manager in quality assurance, training, and program planning, acting as lead in absence of the site manager. Worksite is in Hayward and Fremont. Salary approximately $26 to $36 per hour.
Employee will counsel WIC clients, especially working with the high risk population; performs certification and documentation of program eligibility, teaches classes, serves as the lead in the absence of the site supervisor, assists with program planning, quality assurance, staff training.
Eligible candidates must be a registered dietitian with masters in nutrition or a bachelors graduate with at least 6 months experience. Best candidate will have WIC or clinical experience.
Entry level RD eligibile candidate who needs job experience to meet to meet minimum qualifications will be considered, at a lower starting salary.
