HealthONE - Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center located in the heart of Denver, Colorado, serves as a regional tertiary referral center for a multi-state area. We are seeking a Certified Specialist to be responsible for advanced nutrition care of infant patients in a multidisciplinary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The selected candidate will provide safe and efficient nutrition care and services utilizing practice guidelines and performance standards as delineated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Responsibilities include assisting in screening patients at nutritional risk utilizing the Nutrition Care Process Model and evidenced-based practice guidelines. Will also support and apply the guidelines for infant feeding and preparation of breast milk or formula with recipe development. Will support facility research, innovation, quality improvement and serve as a consultant to the entire health care team when appropriate. Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, FANS employees, patients and families, and other health care professionals to assure that individual patient care needs are met.
Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within the academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Certification in Nutrition Support(CNSC) within the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N); and /or board certified specialist in pediatric nutrition (CSP) within the Commission on Dietetic Registration highly preferred.
Requires a BS/BA and/or Masters Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Master's of Science Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-4 years clinical experience in an acute care facility essential. Prefer completion of traineeship/fellowship in neonatal nutrition or related clinical experience in neonatal nutrition.
