Job Description:
As a registered dietitian assigned to our acute care
floors you will have the following responsibilities.

Provides all aspects of nutritional care based on established standards. Performs age-specific nutritional assessments and develops nutritional plan.

Develops appropriate care plans, monitoring the nutritional status of patients. Appropriately interprets patient data and responses to diet.

Adapts eating utensils appropriate to age/ability.

Counsels patients and/or family on nutrition education.

Consults with other health care personnel (Physician, nurse, pharmacist, social worker, etc.) as appropriate.

Manages time effectively able to complete work assignments in a timely manner.

Participates in hospital committee, i.e., multidisciplinary rounds, etc.

Assists in supporting the highest possible patient satisfaction levels.

Ensures program effectiveness and in achievement of department and client goals.

Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian or RD eligible completed ADA approved internship. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English (or other languages as necessary). Outpatient position requires bilingual Spanish. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Experience in health care environment preferred.

Skills:
Excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
