Job Description and Requirements
Porter Novelli, a global public relations company, has an immediate opening for a full time Account Executive for the growing Food, Beverage and Nutrition team in the Washington, D.C. office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and direct integrated communications programs that include nutrition communications, media relations, digital communications and stakeholder outreach
Act as a day-to-day client contact delivering consistent, high-level client service
Evaluate nutrition research and develop consumer and health professional messaging
Oversee the development of press materials and collateral
Produce media results that support client goals
Develop and manage budgets and timelines
Develop status and progress reports
Represent our clients among outside organizations and vendors
Manage and coach team members to deliver quality, on-time work
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years of relevant work experience, with agency experience preferred but not required
Bachelors degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics or related discipline with relevant Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or similar experience
Registered Dietitian credential preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of public relations and marketing principles
Strong earned media and digital communications experience
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets and team members
Strong client relations skills with ability to anticipate client needs and quickly solve problems
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments
