Center for Change Las Vegas is seeking a full-time Dietitian / Clinical Nutrition Director to manage the Nutrition Programs in our specialized Day-patient and Outpatient Programs to help women recover from Eating Disorders.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage dietary programs to help eating-disordered patients at the Center overcome misconceptions about food and learn skills and behaviors that will help them succeed in the process of recovery and relapse prevention. The Clinical Nutrition Director will assess patients and collaborate with the Center's multidisciplinary treatment team to plan and implement a strategy of care for each patient. This will include individual counseling with Day-patients twice weekly and IOP and outpatients once weekly to establish and monitor goals, check progress, adjust and monitor meal plans, assign new experiences (i.e., challenge meal passes, grocery store visits, food solos, therapeutic food days), plan for discharge, and help patients learn new skills and behaviors which will contribute to a healthy lifestyle. The Nutrition Director will teach weekly nutrition classes on a variety of topics, oversee meal time support therapy, and ensure that the Center complies with all guidelines and regulations associated with food safety and sanitation. The Nutrition Director manages and oversees all aspects of food service for Day and IOP patients including creating and editing menus, contacting vendors in the community and arranging services for meals, and maintaining a fully stocked kitchen as needed. The Nutrition Director also plays an active management role in the facility, attending regular meetings, being involved in hiring/training of all staff, and continued program development.

The Center's philosophy on treating eating disorders focuses on providing patients with opportunities to explore and redevelop a healthy relationship with food, helping them eat intuitively according to hunger and fullness. Each patient at the Center receives individual counseling sessions with a Registered Dietitian. Sessions go beyond teaching and include active intervention. Patients receive weekly instruction on topics such as relearning the ability to sense hunger and fullness, making peace with food, enjoying the eating experience, body metabolism, food and exercise, relapse prevention, and more.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Dietetics
- Certified Registered Dietitian
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Previous experience treating clients with eating disorders preferred
- Familiarity with concepts of intuitive eating preferred
- Dietitians are required to transport patients using company vehicles. To qualify to drive company vehicles Dietitians must consent to a driving record check, and must:
-- be at least 20 years of age;
-- have a valid driver license;
-- have no more than 2 at-fault accidents in the past three (3) years;
-- have no more than 3 moving violations during the past three (3) years; and,
-- have no driving while intoxicated (DWI) or driving under the influence (DUI) convictions.
