Hungry and Overweight: How is it Possible?

Join the Academy for a Webinar on February 26 2013

Gain a good understanding of the factors that contribute to children being simultaneously hungry and overweight and learn how food insecurity affects children. Learn about services available to families and be inspired to get involved in hunger programs in your community.

This webinar is the first in a series by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation and Kids Eat Right as part of the Future of Food project.  It is planned with Feeding America through an educational grant from the National Dairy Council.

This LIVE webinar is approved for 1.0 CPEUs.  By the end of the webinar, participants should be able to:

•  Name at least two reasons children can be hungry and overweight at the same time.
•  Describe three key ways food insecurity affects children.
•  Name at least two programs you can support in your community that address food insecurity.
